CareLift Equipment has been engineering and building quality rough terrain forklifts ever since 1962. Each day the company strives to help all their consumers reach their objectives and deliver value because they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
There are 2 general types of boom lifts. These units are straight boom lifts and articulated boom lifts. Normally, these units are powered hydraulically. Most often straight booms are the ideal alternative for jobs which need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine could rotate 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be raised vertically to below horizontal. Since the operator could steer and maneuver the vehicle while the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machine. These units come in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise unaccessible. These lift models carry out tasks that straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move easily around any objects within the work environment.
Several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers so as to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is required prior to operating boom lifts so as to guarantee the jobsite, the operator and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable tasks which used to require a lot more man hours to be done in a much shorter time period. These machines have changed the material handling industry and have really increased production.
