Designed for Safety
Yale has a great history for offering safe lift trucks that are suitable for a variety of applications. The ability to manufacture and engineer units for better safety comes from the new technology that is available in the material handling industry and the company's experience.
In their latest designs, Yale has started incorporating newly available technologies. Some of the new technologies which are on the market are first applied to forklift trucks and then later proven further through functionality and durability testing. The company performs many controlled field tests and reliability development so as to ensure their products are really safe.
Some of Yale's new designs and technology which has been incorporated as standard features for their fleet so as to improve overall safety include the following:
Operator Compartment Controls and Ergonomics
The operator compartment has been designed with ergonomics in mind, utilizing state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to guarantee that the operator avoids heavy repetitive motions and exhaustion. These extra comforts help to increase overall productivity.
Adjustable Operators Controls and Compartment
Adjustable operator controls enable the operators to choose the positioning of their necessary controls. This helps make the machinery user friendly, regardless of who is operating it. Prior to starting their shift, the operator can make sure he or she is as comfortable as possible.
Operator Presence System
Yale's hydraulic system operation called the Operator Presence System prevents the use of the machine if the operator is not in the correct operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on trucks that have internal combustion engines.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The drop-down design brings the LPG tank out from the protected center of the truck and down to the natural handling position of the operator making the tank easier to change.
